This time SpaceX combine couple satellites into one payload on atop their Falcon-9. Formosat-5 is Taiwanese NSPO satellite design as observation satellite. It is equipped in variety of sensors, with operational life at 5 years and weight at 525 kg. Satellite will let NSPO fully develop technologies necessary for building future high resolution observation satellites. Next satellite is Cubesat based Arkyd-6 mini satellite, equipped with infrared camera for research on asteroids rich in resources. CANYVAL-X is pair of Cubesats designed virtual telescope system. One satellite is reflector which is focusing light and the second will be detector. System was designed on Yonsei University, South Korea. Next Korean Cubesat is CNUSail 1 - demonstrator of technology of deorbiting with deployable solar sail. Satellite was designed on Chungnam University and will stay on orbit for about three months. Next satellite is EcAMSat under research program of gravity effect on E Coli bacteria and their resistance for antibiotics. ISARA satellite is technology demonstrator - it will test possibility of using solar array as antenna for downlink. Kausat-5 is another South Korean satellite in Cubesat 3U bus, equipped with IR camera for Earth observation. SIGMA (KHUSAT 3) is result of academic project from Kyung Hee University. It is equipped with magnetometer and radiation detector (TEPC) and will help in measuring magnetic field and radiation level of the Earth. Last satellite is STEP 1 which will be put into LEO orbit.
In this mission, launch service provider, SpaceX is going to utilize Falcon-9 rocket in version 1.1 or 1.2.
