China is going to launch fourth observation satellite from Gaofen series. Since 2013, Gaofen satellites are part of main Chinese civilian Earth observation program, which includes satellites, planes and stratosphere balloons. It is planned to launch 14 satellites until 2020. Satellite is equipped with 50 m resolution camera with fixed-point and infra-red camera for observation under poor visibility conditions. It weighs 4600 kg, has predicted operational life at 8 years and is powered by deployable solar arrays. Designated rocket for this mission will be Long March 3B, probably in 3B/E version. It is able to put into GTO 5100 kg of payload and is equipped with three additional liquid fueled boosters and larger first stage.
