Fourth from series of Chinese data relay satellites operating since first Tianlian-1-1 was launched in 2008. Tianlian-1-4 was designed and manufactured by CASC (China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation). It will serve as both communication and data relay satellite for Shenzhou spacecrafts and maybe as communication support for Tiangong-2 space station. Satellite is probably based on DFH-3 satellite - it is powered with two deployable solar arrays and onboard batteries; it is 3 axis stabilized and will operate on GEO orbit. Tianlaian-1-4 was already delivered to Xinchang on October 10, 2016 and launch is planned for the end of the 2016.
