Delayed launch of Proton-M with Breeze-M atop is scheduled on April 2016 (after Proton-M/Breeze-M failure on 16th May 2015 with Centenario satellite atop, ILS has increasing problem with delayed launches). Payload will be broadcasting and communication Instelsat-31 satellite. It was designed and manufactured by Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) basing on SSL-1300 platform. It is equipped with 10 C- and 72 Ku-band transponders, has weight of 6450 kg and planned orbital life at 15 years. ILS will utilize Proton-M with Breeze-M upper module providing capability of reaching GEO orbit. Intelsat will operate this satellite for DirecTV Latin, direct-to-home television provider from South America.
Launch was finally postponed to June 8 2016, but due the technical issues final launch date is 9th June 2016.
