PSLV • Resourcesat-2A

Resourcesat-2A is remote sensing satellite by ISRO created for providing accurate data about Earth surface. It will be successor of Resourcesat-2 launched in 2011 and it will be equipped in similar payload. It is based on IRS-1 bus with operational life at 5 years. It will be equipped with imaging and observation payload: AWiFS (Advanced Wide Field Sensor for topography, imaging and land observation with resolution at 56 m), LISS-III (imaging scanner with resolution 23.5 m) and LISS-IV (camera with resolution at 5.8 m). Satellite will be launched on atop of PSLV rocket to LEO orbit with following parameters: altitude - 817 km, inclination at 98.72°.
